One Piece Theory...

zhadrani I've been re-watching/rereading the parts of One Piece in which Robin's past on Ohara is revealed, and I got to thinking about things I'd forgotten.
The most interesting thing, of course, is the mystery of the Poneglyphs that the Ohara scholars were so interested in, the secret history of the "Void Century" that they told, and the ideas from the once prosperous and mighty country that the World Government supposedly wiped out. Also, the comment that Professor Clover, head of the archaeologists of Ohara, was shot to prevent him from voicing: the key to everything about this mysterious country, its name.
And I wondered...could the Poneglyphs, this country that made them, and the country's name have to do with "D" and the "Will of D?" The giant Saul once said that the D ran in his entire bloodline, and from what we know of Luffy and his family, the same is true for them. We have lots of different surnames, though: Monkey, Hogwarth, Marshall, Portgas, Gol, etc, and at least one entire line is giants, so it's highly doubtful that they're all related.
Wild speculation, but could those that carry the name "D" be descendants of that country 800 years ago, or something of the kind? And the "D" have something to do with that country's name?
...Speculation, speculation. Man, do I want to know about all these mysteries and how they'll eventually connect! But Oda shows no signs of wrapping up One Piece, so it could be along time before we get any answers...Oh, the frustration and the joy in that idea, XD.
